Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- “Company” means Lytham Van Hire.
- “Customer” means the person(s) hiring the Vehicle.
- “Vehicle” means the van(s) provided by the Company.
- “Hire Period” means the dates and times agreed for collection and return.
- “Agreed Mileage” means the free mileage allowance included in the Hire Rate.
Booking & Payment
- A non-refundable booking deposit of 20% of the hire cost is required to secure each
reservation.
- The balance of the Hire Charge and the insurance is due at or before collection.
- Payment may be made by debit card, credit card or bank transfer.
- All amounts are stated in Pounds Sterling (£) and inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Hire Period
- The Hire Period commences when the Customer takes possession of the Vehicle and ends when it
is returned and signed off by Company staff.
- Extensions must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled return; subject to
availability and additional charges.
Collection & Return
- Collection and return take place at our Lytham St Anne’s depot between 08:00 and 18:00
Monday–Saturday.
- Out-of-hours collection or return incurs a £15 fee.
- The Vehicle must be returned in the same condition and with the same fuel level as at
collection.
Use of the Vehicle
- The Vehicle must only be driven within mainland Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales).
- It must not be used for racing, towing (unless pre-approved), carrying hazardous materials,
or any illegal purpose.
- Sub-hiring is strictly prohibited.
Driver Requirements
- All drivers must:
- Be aged 21–78.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Provide a valid licence and proof of address at collection.
- Additional drivers must be declared and will cost extra.

Insurance & Liability
Insurer terms and conditions must also be agreed.
Damage & Accidents
- All damage, theft or accident must be reported immediately on 07438573153.
- A damage administration fee of £50 applies per incident.
- The Customer indemnifies the Company against any third-party claims arising from their use.
Breakdown & Assistance
- Roadside assistance is provided 24/7 UK-wide.

- Any recovery or repair costs for damage due to misuse will be charged to the Customer.
Termination
- The Company may terminate the hire without refund if these Terms are breached.
- Early return does not entitle the Customer to any refund of Hire Charges.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
